tcnt1b-300a.jpg (36217 bytes) The NT1B-300TC is a compact ISDN Network Termination suitable for standalone or rack configurations. Terminal equipment (typically ISDN telephones) can be powered through the NT1. Power is provided by an in-line desktop power supply or by the rack.

Both point-to-point and multipoint ISDN terminal equipment configurations are supported. This unit may be used as a drop-in replacement in Lucent NT1B-300 applications, and is compatible with the Tone Commander NT1B-300 Rack (shown below), Lucent NT1B-310 Rack, and SEI PowerRack 300.

Standalone NT1s can be locally powered by the 901034-01 Power Supply or remotely powered by the PS-50 ISDN Power Supply, both available separately.

tcnt300rack.jpg (32356 bytes) The NT1B-300 Rack houses 24 Tone Commander NT1B-300TC ISDN Network Terminations in a 19" rack, 23" rack, or wall mount configuration. This rack is also compatible with Lucent NT1B-300 NT1s.

The rack supplies power to the NT1 units and terminal equipment connected to the NT1s from an integral power supply. 

The optional NT1-200 Battery Backup can be added to provide uninterrupted NT1 and ISDN terminal power during a power failure; operating time may doubled with additional NT1-200 Add-on Batteries.
  • Rack holds 24 NT1B-300TC cards (not included with rack)
  • NT1s are hot-swappable
  • Modular S/T jacks on the front edge create a compact, easily accessible patch panel

The PS-50 is a rack- or wall-mountable bulk power supply for powering ISDN telephones and NT1 Network Terminations.

Fifty -48 VDC output connections are provided. Each output has self-resetting current limiting protection at 250 mA. The total available output current is 2.8 A, which is suitable to power up to 50 Tone Commander ISDN telephones.

Optional NT1-200 Battery Backup Power Supply and NT1-200 Add-on Battery units can be added to the PS-50 to enable uninterrupted ISDN power during a power failure.

Input:    120 VAC, 60 Hz, 2 A max.

Output: -48 VDC, current limited at 250 mA per output pair, 2.8 A total (50 pairs)

UL Listed.

 

tcnt1-200batt.jpg (24585 bytes) Battery Backup allows the NT1B-300 Rack, NT1-296 Rack,  NT1-220 Rack, or PS-50 Power Supply and terminals to operate during a power failure. Battery capacity may be doubled with an additional NT1-200 Add-on Battery.

Use the NT1-200 Battery Backup with the NT1B-300 Rack, NT1-220 Rack or PS-50, and the NT1-200/296 Battery Backup with the NT1-296 Rack. The Add-on Battery works with both models.

 

tcnt1-296.jpg (15365 bytes) The NT1-296 high density rack with NT1U-223TC cards supports up to 96 ISDN terminals. Terminal power is provided by the integral power supply.

The optional NT1-200/296 Battery Backup allows a fully loaded rack with Tone Commander telephones to operate 2.5 - 3 hours during a power failure; operating time may increased to over 8 hours with additional NT1-200 Add-on Batteries.
  • Rack holds 16 NT1U-223TC cards (not included with rack)
  • 3 NT1 circuits per card
  • Cards are hot-swappable
  • S/T interface - 8 pin modular jacks on front panel and 50 pin miniature ribbon connector on back panel (use either)
  • 2 S/T terminal jacks per NT1 circuit
  • Power indicator for each card
  • Status indicator for each NT1 circuit
  • Self-resetting power supply provides 5 watts average per NT1
  • Power supply can be mounted behind or above the rack
  • U interface - 50 pin miniature ribbon connector

The footprint for this rack system is: 12.75" H x 17.25" W x 12.3" D as rack mounted.
