These phones automatically self-adjust for Lucent, Siemens, Nortel and AG Communication Centrex environments and their station user configurations. These station sets are available for "U" and "S/T" connection, (the "U" models have a built in NT1) and available in black or white. The 6210T & 6220T are also compatible with the Lucent Definity PABX system. These phones provide a host of advantages over other ISDN phone products.
Model options: 6210T, 6210U, 6220T, 6220U, in Black or White; 10 button and 20 button phones available for both S/T wired service and U wired service. The U phone provides a S/T connector to support a second CPE device. U phones are not available by all manufacturers.
Small size: Both the 10 button and 20 button models are the same size taking up less space than any other ISDN set, saving valuable desk-top space.
Automatic KEY Mapping: KEYs will match other pre-existing sets that need replacement without line provisioning changes, Tone Commander's phones will directly replace Lucent, Fujitsu, Nortel and Siemens ISDN phones.
Full 2-way Speakerphone: Both the low-cost 6210 and the 6220 phones are full 2-way Speakerphones. Some manufacturer's low-end Speakerphone only provides audio out (listen), no talk back capability.
Flexible function KEY programming: The function KEYs on the 10 button and 20 button sets are typically programmed for placement & function by the switching system. These keys can also be manually programmed for desired placement and features. These KEYs are used for Call Appearances, Feature Activators and One-Touch Speed Dials.
Combination function KEYs: KEYs that are used for Call Appearances, Feature Activators and One-Touch Speed Dials can be programmed as combination function KEYs. You can have Feature Activators with Speed-Dial or Shared Call Appearances with Speed-Dial. These timesaving advanced KEY feature combinations are only available on the Tone Commander ISDN phones.
TAPI control and analog line: A replacement base unit will be available to upgrade the 6210 and 6220 to allow for TAPI control and Terminal Adapter features. The Terminal Adapter will provide both an analog telephone line and an RS232 port. The TAPI add-on module will be available early 1st quarter 2001 and the Terminal Adapter is scheduled for the 3rd quarter 2001. This option enhancement is not available on other manufacturer's products currently being offered.
Hands Free Answer and Voice Announce: The phones can be set up to answer specific calls or all calls automatically by the Speakerphone for hands free telephone calls.
Ease of use: This is a very important efficiency consideration, especially for large deployments of phones. The simple feature menus allow first time users quick access to the features and programs they want in the phone. A "Quick Reference" card and a detailed "User Manual" are provided with each telephone set that will ensure ease of use.
Program while you talk: The phone will allow feature programming while talking on the same set. This is ideal if you want to add a directory listing of the person you are talking to or if you want assistance with setting up a program feature.
Never Obsolete: The Tone Commander phones can be updated with new menu features and functions without replacing any parts. An update or upgrade can be done on site by a process that is as simple as making a phone call or plugging in a program cartridge for about 30 seconds.
Never Forget: The Tone Commander phones never forget any of the programmed features if removed from service or if power is lost. Once the phone is re-installed it will automatically go back in service and retain all previous feature and programmed settings.
